May 7: Undergraduate Policies (Recording Available
Learn about general undergraduate policies so you are better able to assist when student questions arise. Policies that will be covered include University Withdrawal, Leave of Absence, Readmission, Good Academic Standing, Academic Probations, University Dismissal, Incomplete Grades, Class Attendance, Major / Minor Declaration, and University Email.

May 21: Access Services – Supporting Students with Disabilities
Access Services provides reasonable accommodations to students with qualifying disabilities. Learn about the referral process, how you can better support students with disabilities, and potential accommodations that are available to students at both Winona and SGPP.

June 4: Supporting Commuter Students
Commuter students face unique challenges balancing academic, work, and personal commitments. This session will explore strategies for fostering engagement, building community, and enhancing the overall success of commuter students. Participants will discuss common barriers faced by commuters and learn practical approaches for providing targeted support, developing inclusive programming, and promoting a sense of belonging on campus.

June 18: NSOR – Join Us for Cardinal Central’s presentation in Page Theatre!

July 2: Title IX and Mandatory Reporting
This session provides an overview of Title IX regulations and the responsibilities of mandatory reporters. Participants will learn how to recognize and respond to disclosures of sexual misconduct, understand reporting obligations, and navigate the process for supporting students while ensuring compliance with federal and institutional policies.

July 16: Financial Aid, Cardinal Central, and Paying for College Tips
Cardinal Central is the one stop shop for students for anything financial assistance. Learn more about how staff in Cardinal Central can help students throughout the year.

July 30: Planning Events on Campus 
Meet with Event Services to learn about the process of planning events on the Winona campus. Discover more information about the room reservation process, the campus event planning form, catering requests, and set up requirements. Learn from the pro’s on the inside tips and tricks of successful event planning here at Saint Mary’s.

August 13: First Generation Initiative
The First Generation Initiative has been around since 2010 and has served over 100 first generation students who are from lower socioeconomic backgrounds. Learn about the application and admission process, the history of the program, program structure, and activities and events during the year.
