Student Success and First Generation Initiative Center

The Student Success and First Generation Initiative Center provides academic support services and resources and peer leadership opportunities for students.

Staff mentor, encourage, and guide students in their academic and personal development, including connecting students to appropriate resources on campus. We are here to help you succeed!

ACADEMIC ADVISING – Assists students with course registration, reviews course requirements, explains academic policies and procedures, guides students to a better understanding of barriers to success, and teaches strategies and life skills

ACCESS SERVICES – Ensures students with documented disabilities have access to equal educational programs and activities; supports alternative format textbooks, and provides assistive technology, testing accommodations, and peer note-taking services

LEARNING SERVICES – Facilitates the peer tutoring program and student-led study groups; provides academic counseling and academic skills workshops
