Student Success Center
The Student Success and First Generation Initiative Center is located in the basement of Griffin Hall 70 (GR 70). We are between the staircase in Saint Mary’s Hall (SMH) and Cardinal Central. An alternate entrance is located just off the Plaza/garden. A ramp and automatic door are available.
Learning Services & Tutoring
Learning Services and Tutoring is here for undergraduate students providing them tutoring options, study tips, time management tips, guided studies, writing help and other resources. This is to aid students in understanding their course content and help them build skills that will help them in both their academic and professional lives.
Advising
Advising is here to help students complete their academic journey by providing them with resources for drop-in advising, degree planning, transfer advising and an academic success program.
First Generation Initiative
First Generation Initiative (FGI) is here to help first generation students with academic support, financial support and social support to help them create bright futures for themselves.
New Student Experience
The New Student Experience is here to help incoming students adjust to the campus and prepare them for classes. Here students are helped with registration for classes, and tips on how to be successful academically. It also provides new students with information about fun, social activities that happen within the first five weeks of school.
Countdown to College
Countdown to College (C2C) is a summer college prep program, where students 9th through 12th grade participate in enriching, immersive, activities that are academic and social in nature. The goal of C2C is to push the importance of teamwork and making meaningful connections between students and others around them.
